Developers meet users

The 2021 ABINIT Developer Workshop will benefit from and extend the launch of the version 9 of ABINIT in 2020.
One of the key points of this new version — and of the recent evolution of ABINIT — is the improvement of the user interface ; the number of user-oriented features has significantly increased:

  • The documentation has been extended
  • Complete pseudo-potentials/PAW datasets tables are freely available
  • ABINIT is now specifically adapted to "new" users
  • ABINIT is interfaced with flow managers for high-throughput calculation.

In this perspective and to complete this approach, part of the workshop will be dedicated to an interaction between developers and users.

Two half-days will be dedicated to direct live discussion via videoconference between users and developers, on topics chosen by users.
Virtual discussion rooms will be opened and will offer ABINIT users the possibility to meet developers. In each room, several developers will be present, a general topic will be proposed. The direction of discussions will be decided according to the expectations of the participants.

Two time slots are open for discussions (one convenient for Asia and Europe, one convenient for America).

ABINIT users interested in participating in one of these discussions are invited to register below.

Suggestions of questions are now collected, until Friday 27 May noon.
The link will be sent by mail to the users who have registered before Friday 20 May noon.

Connexion links will be sent shortly before the session.
